I had a strange call with a new customer who asked me to edit the work of another flash developer that has left without leaving them the fla… I told him that it was crappy to find a good swf to fla decompiler (as I never found a good working one). But I told him that I would find a solution anyway.
In fact the solution was very easy to find: Eltima Flash Decompiler! It works just great and allowed me to make the work in only 1 day. It creates me a nicely made fla with the AS2 code, images, sounds, texts. What do you want more?
The only bad point: it doesn’t work for AS3, but let’s wait that Flash CS3 is release 😉

There is as well SwfDecompiler from Sothink. This one works great too.

I was looking for something similar to get some images I had lost the source to, and check out the free tool I found that extracts http://www.flashprobe.com
